喑啞殘疾路旁乞討　愛心警協助

【徐彩媚／嘉義報導】嘉義市北門派出所昨晚巡邏時，在新生路與嘉北街口，發現一名年輕男子手持柺杖及塑膠盆子站在路旁向路人乞討，由於車輛來往頻繁，警方擔心男子發生危險，上前關切詢問，但警方溝通許久男子都沒有回應，後來才發現原來男子是喑啞。
 
警方調查，家住義教里的賴姓男子（20歲），因左腳殘疾行動不便，從小又喑啞、沒有謀生能力，平日四處乞討為生，警方對賴男處境深表同情，連絡里長到場協助，並告之賴男有什麼需要幫忙，可協助轉介社會局或其他民間公益團體協助，讓弱勢民眾也能感受到社會處處有溫情。
